About The Villa

Villa Mimosa is a recently built private residence in the small pretty village of Alcalar. Away from the hustle and bustle of the town, the villa gives an opportunity for peaceful relaxation in its tranquil surroundings. The extensive landscaped gardens that surround the villa provide a sense privacy and space. For most of the year they are a riot of colour with tropical plants, olives, palms and fruit/citrus orchards. There are also two large well-maintained lawns and of course the outdoor pool.

There are a number of opportunities for al fresco dining at Villa Mimosa, with a large outdoor dining table up on the terrace for families, and a small cafe style dining suite out on the swimming deck overlooking the gardens for a more intimate dining experience. There is also a gas barbeque available for use throughout the year.

The villa itself has been designed to give a light and spacious atmosphere. In summer the high ceilings throughout the villa allow the air to circulate freely, and it becomes a cool sanctuary away from the hot summer sun. There is also air conditioning available throughout. In winter there is a log burner in the living room and under-floor heating beneath the tiled floors throughout, providing a warm and cosy retreat on the occasional cooler winter evenings. The villa has been decorated and furnished throughout with simple elegant furniture, accessories and artwork.

Villa Mimosa has three large double bedrooms (two king size and one twin) and three bathrooms. Each of the bedrooms has high quality beds and bedroom furniture and an abundance of built-in wardrobeds for storage. Two of the bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and the third is adjacent to a family bathroom so that all occupants can have their own space and facilities. All bathrooms have been fitted to the higest quality.

In addition the two tables outside there are two dining tables inside. In the kitchen you will find a kitchen table for breakfast and easy dining. In the dining room there is an extendable large oak table for more formal dining. The spacious kitchen provides a wealth of room for preparation and cupboards for storage. It has been fitted with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle and oven/hob.

The living room which overlooks the pool area, the gardens and the hills beyond has been decorated and furnished simply and elegantly with rugs on the tiled floors, large comfortable sofas and satellite television with a Video and DVD player. There are also a wide range of books and board games at your disposal. DVDs, videos and games can be found in the hall cupboard.

The property has remote-controlled electric gates for privacy and has a long driveway with plenty of space for parking alongside the villa. All windows have electric roller blinds on the outside which are operated from the inside. These are excellent for keeping the villa cool in summer and also act as black-out blinds for a peaceful night of sleep.
